Tucked among the ferns, this rental chalet opens up New Zealand's semi-tropical Waitakere Ranges coastal rainforest for exploration. Explore hidden glades with waterfalls and streams, or wander along deserted tree-fringed beaches. This is the perfect place to unwind. Yet, Auckland - the largest city in New Zealand - is within a short drive of this lush rainforest paradise.
Secluded and romantic Kaitarakihi beach is just 20 minutes drive from the rental chalet and is a delightful discovery. Small and peaceful, it is perfect for picnics.
The chalet shares the garden of The Ferns B&B, and is tucked away down a quiet leafy road behind the hilltop settlement of Titirangi Village, and a wooded path zig-zags to the village.
Know as the gateway to the Waitakere Ranges and coastal rainforest park, Titirangi has cafes that are popular with artists who exhibit their painting and art for sale in the local galleries of this artists community.
A short tramp of around 30 minutes along another path through the woods leads down to the local beach.
SELF-CATERING CHALET ACCOMMODATION TO RENT
This two bedroom rental cottage is set among lush vegetation in this semi-tropical rainforest garden. Exotic palms and New Zealand tree ferns provide a romantic and private hide-way for those special occasions, a honeymoon or simply for a brief escape from the pressures of every-day life - what a vacation is all about. You can enjoy the sense of hide-away, yet be within a short stroll from the village and a short drive into Auckland itself.
The cosy lounge and kitchenette create a relaxing environment.
Upstairs, the main 'loft' bedroom with its king-sized bed is set into the steeply slopping roof, with windows that look out into the forest.
The smaller second bedroom is downstairs, next to the bathroom where you can relax in the tub while looking out into your very own jungle!

Auckland is the largest city in New Zealand and is located towards the North West of the North Island, with a sub-tropical climate that contrast to the colder climate of the South Island.Waitakere Ranges
The Kiwi's have long taken this huge wilderness of sub-tropical rainforests for granted, yet it is an unspoilt area that most tourist authorities would be screaming about. With over 19,000 acres open to the public and 200kms of trails for hiking and rambling, there are forests, beaches and hills just waiting to be explored.
Titirangi
The small town of Titirangi is home to an artists community, with thriving galleries and cafes and just a short stroll from the chalet.

Price
The price for a single night is $240 NZ dollars in Winter and $260 NZ dollars in Summer.The price for 2 nights or more starts from $190 New Zealand dollars per night, depending on the season and length of stay - please enquire for costings for your stay.
A small surcharge is made for use of the second bedroom, to keep the costs down for couples. A discount is available for longer stays of 7 days or more, so please enquire about availability for your dates and costing. Tea and coffee is supplied, together with a continental breakfast on arrival for the first morning.
To assure your privacy, the chalet is only serviced on your request.
