JAVEA SPAIN ON THE COSTA BLANCA
Javea (sometimes spelt 'Xabia') lies on the northern stretch of the Costa Blanca and is the nearest of the many local towns. It has a maritime history and still hosts a thriving port, yet today's visitors are principally tourists who are attracted to the wonderful beaches in this area. The nearest beach is a 15 minute drive away, but there are many small coves with beaches worth exploring.
The town of Javea and its approaching roads have numerous restaurants, together with a nightlife that is more cultured than the larger resorts such as Benidorm that is a half hour's drive away.
The Restaurants and bars reflect the cosmopolitan atmosphere of Javea that first attracted the present owners to the Costa Blanca. The weather, clearly played a part in this decision too, and they continue to live locally.
